Gary Blair started playing the Accordion at the age of 8 and was taught by his late father Jimmy Blair who ran a huge Accordion school in Glasgow, Scotland.

At the age of 17 he won the UK accordion Championship Bell trophy.

For the last 12 years his band have provided the entertainment for the gala evening at said championships.He has recorded three CD's:
1. Full Steam Ahead   2.Missing Time  3.Still Steamin'

He has appeared on TV, radio and video numerous times  and  is an accordion festival "junkie" who is in the fortunate position to be asked time and again to appear at festivals throughout the world.
 
His appearances in the last few years alone have been at the following festivals.
 
Caister International Accordion festival (7 times)
Bridlington International (2003 will be the third time)
Pakefield International Festival (2003 will be his second appearance)
Blackpool Festival (4 times)
UK Accordion Championships (13 times)
London Accordion festival  (largest festival held in the UK)
Chartres (France)
Carrefour mondial de L'accordeon (Montmagny, Quebec, Canada)
Leveanworth Accordion celebration  (Washington State, USA)
 
His band have also performed abroad in Cannes, Dubai, France, Belgium, Holland, and Italy,
